Staying Warm with your Home Water Cooler

Your Water Cooler is a convenient and wonderful way to stay warm this winter. They expect the temperatures to really drop and the best way to stay warm is grab a blanket and a mug of hot cocoa and enjoy some time on the couch. Here is a quick and easy hot cocoa recepie which anyone can do at home.

First gather everything necessary: a comfy mug, hot cocoa mix, chocolate chips and mint chips (to your taste), whipped cream or marshmallows, and be prepared by your water cooler.

Put all of the ingredients in the mug. You will need about 2-3 scoops of the hot cocoa mix, though if you desire more, there wont anyone there to stop you, so go crazy! Add the chocolate chips and mint chips, again, as many as you like. Then head over to your home water cooler and dispense hot water into the mug until full. Finally, you are ready for the final touch, the whipped cream or marshmallows, again, add as much as you like.

From there you are ready to get comfy on the couch, grab that blanket, and arm yourself with either the remote or that good book you’ve been dying to read. You’ll be warm in no time! The home water cooler makes the winter just a little warmer this year.

Following the roaring success “Water Cooler Musical” in Chicago in 2009, we thought it was, without a doubt, high time that a similar, although obviously completely original, show was penned. As a starting point, as with all great things there must be at least one, we decided to come up with a song list for our production as we have affectionately named, “Home Water Cooler: From Thirst to Hydration”. Touching, we’re sure you’ll agree. And so, exclusively for our beloved blog readers, the first draft of the musical numbers:

Bringing the joys of office water cooler moments into one’s home are of utmost importance, and form a significant part of our lives. So in honour of this, we have decided to create a mini-series of blogs, which you can of course use to enhance your own home water cooler chat. This soon-to-be-an institution-so-jump-on-the-bandwagon-immediately series kicks off with our stories about embarrassing parents. We spoke to Francesca, who’s name has been changed to help retain her sense of dignity, about a particularly distressing moment whilst shopping with her mother on the local high road;
“I was only fourteen, sowas obviously throwing a tantrum about being out with my Mum”. Obviously, we agreed. “I was storming ahead, trying to get away, when she called my name. I turned around with the best scowling face I could muster, and what was she doing? Jumping around on the pavement like a monkey, making the noises and everything. Oh, I could have died”.
A pretty mortifying moment, we’re sure you’ll agree. If you’ve got anything worse, we’d love to hear from you. There are plenty of embarrassing parents out there- it’s time to expose them to the world.

Following reports that the amount of gossip being exchanged around every home water cooler in the country since the beginning of our mini-series has increased, we thought it our duty to continue the blogging and help our devoted readers with their idle chat. This week, we talk about famous people we’ve seen out and about, and the ways in which they behave when surrounded with ordinary folk.
To begin, Chloe; “I saw Alan Rickman at the theatre in Swiss Cottage in 2008” she sighs. “Oh, I remember it well. He sat right in front of me and my Mum- it was really hard to concentrate on the play. His son looked mortified to be seen out in public with his parents, and Alan’s voice really is as lovely as it sounds on the telly. The rest is all a blur…”.
Her friend Sarah, also present at the interview, retaliates: “Yeah, well, that guy who judges Celebrity Masterchef? His kids are in the same class at school as my friend’s next door neighbours”.
Hmm, nice try Sarah. If you’ve had an encounter with a famous face, please do come and brag about it to us- who knows, you might even get a spot on our blog!

How your home water cooler works

Those of you who are existing customers of ours, or indeed those who are hoping to join our client list, we are sure you spend a lot of time wondering how your marvellous home water cooler actually works/will work once our engineers turn up and install it for you with extraordinary ease and efficiency. This is where we can help, and can, once again, provide you with an answer. So to all those who cry, how DOES my cooler work, here is the science bit:

For cooling the water, there is a compressor at the back of the cooler which makes the water cold. In the olden days, there were two tanks which would store water at different temperatures, but these days, coolers are generally high-tech enough to cool/heat on demand.

For dispensing the water, simple valves inside the cooler release it when the thirsty person in question so desires. Air pockets can disrupt/cause the valves to malfunction, which is how the cooler can sometimes appear to be leaking.

So there we have it, science buffs. Feel free to impress any visitors into your home with our/your technical knowledge- we are pretty generous like that.
