Home water cooler chat: embarrassing parents

These parents are pretty embarassingBringing the joys of office water cooler moments into one’s home are of utmost importance, and form a significant part of our lives. So in honour of this, we have decided to create a mini-series of blogs, which you can of course use to enhance your own home water cooler chat. This soon-to-be-an institution-so-jump-on-the-bandwagon-immediately series kicks off with our stories about embarrassing parents. We spoke to Francesca, who’s name has been changed to help retain her sense of dignity, about a particularly distressing moment whilst shopping with her mother on the local high road;
“I was only fourteen, sowas obviously throwing a tantrum about being out with my Mum”. Obviously, we agreed. “I was storming ahead, trying to get away, when she called my name. I turned around with the best scowling face I could muster, and what was she doing? Jumping around on the pavement like a monkey, making the noises and everything. Oh, I could have died”.
A pretty mortifying moment, we’re sure you’ll agree. If you’ve got anything worse, we’d love to hear from you. There are plenty of embarrassing parents out there- it’s time to expose them to the world.
