Children save water, beginning with the home water cooler

save water from your home water coolerChildren at a high school in Dubai are being encouraged to save water with signs placed all over the school with the simple phrase, “Save water-it is precious”. Our Own English High School is hoping that by educating students in conservation our life source, that is scarce in the United Arab Emirates and other hot climates, they will not only help the school more environmentally friendly and aware, but they will also take the lesson away with them at the end of the day, and be more conscientious about turning the taps on when at home. The predicted/hoped for long-term effects are that students will be continue to appreciate the protection of water and other exhaustible materials. The signs are places at all water points, including the school’s water coolers- although this is to bring the point home rather than promote drinking
less water; as we know from our own home water cooler experiences, the importance of keeping ones self hydrated is utmost.
