Better mosque water coolers for Abu Dhabi

the home water cooler trend will start in mosquesA top-of-the-range water cooling system is to be installed in mosques throughout Abu Dhabi, it was announced this January. The move means that not only will all the water coolers in the buildings be upgraded and maintained to a higher level, but the new project will see the drinking water units change completely throughout the United Arab Emirates capital. Water tanks, filtration systems and ultraviolet lights will help ensure that the water remains in peak condition in the heat and humidity, and kept clear of bacteria that can easily build up in the climate of the Emirates. To keep space clear, the systems will be placed in the roofs of the mosques, whilst the coolers themselves will be on ground level to allow worshippers to enjoy the water during their visit.
The project will gradually come into effect over the course of several months, and is being lead by the head of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Dr Hamdam Musalim Al Mazrouie, who hopes that the difference in ventilation and refreshiong drinking water will be marked once the changeover is complete. Who knows, the trend may even catch on, with residents of Abu Dhabi investing in a top of the range home water cooler for themselves….
