Fight the flu by drinking plenty of water

man sneezingIt’s that time of year again, when the tissues and vitamins come out, and our immune systems are pushed to the limit as we fight the flu. This year we’re feeling particularly wary, after the worldwide outbreak of the H1N1 virus, not to mention the inconvenience of getting sick at a time when money is short and taking time off work is a risky business as companies continue to struggle to recover from the effects of the recession.
There are a number of steps you can take to keep yourself in tip-top condition and to give your body the best chance of keeping healthy.
– Drink plenty of water and keep hydrated. Drinking spring water from a home water cooler is an excellent way to get a healthy balance of a number of minerals naturally present in the water whilst at home. With a friendly, efficient service from The Water Delivery Company, you can rest assured that you’ll be well stocked up with bottles whenever you need to be.
– Get plenty of rest, and don’t be tempted to push yourself to stay out late on too many occasions. Early nights are a must!
– Eat fresh fruit and vegetables. A healthy diet is always important, but never more so than at this time of year.
– Taking vitamin supplements can be beneficial to many people. Of course, seek advice from your GP if you’re unsure.
If you’d like more information on getting a water cooler installed in your home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Happy flu-fighting!
